Résumé
This study, published by the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, follows up the previous study The Government of Canada and French on the Internet. It examines the current use of French on the Internet, and reviews changes both in Internet technology and in the way people use the Internet. It focuses on three strategic initiatives: development of a critical mass of French-language content on the Internet; development of French-language service industries; and Canadian foreign policy issues. It proposes a review process and makes 19 recommendations aimed at supporting Canadian linguistic duality on the Internet.
