Synthesis report : réussir la rencontre entre les nouveaux arrivants francophones et l'Acadie de l'Atlantique
This document presents a synthesis of two complementary study reports on Francophone immigration in the Atlantic region. The first report provides a general portrait of the context in which newcomers meet their host society. The second report deals more specifically with the upstream and downstream aspects of the migration process, particularly by examining the motivations for leaving and settling. This synthesis combines the highlights of both reports and presents them according to the various moments of the migration continuum.
These studies, conducted between 2018 and 2020, are the result of a partnership between the Société Nationale de l'Acadie (SNA), the Comité atlantique sur l'immigration francophone (CAIF) and the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities (CIRLM), and were made possible by a financial contribution from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
