Abstract
This article describes teachers working in franco-saskatchewan schools and their teaching experiences. These teachers seem to take the mission of a minority school seriously but are confronted by some difficulties in providing, both for themselves and their students, some of the political aspects of the school's objectives. Regarding these objectives, it would be important to be able to share and even invent stories which deal with the development of a consciousness, a transformation and a freedom with regards to a sociolinguistic determination to which several feel obliged. Generally, this study provides a better understanding of how these teachers experience working in minority settings.
